Creation Tasks

Creation task 1 is an infographic based on how to avoid spreading misinformation while sharing sources online, this task is short but goes over 5 tips for spotting and working around misinformation. This task was created to show a proficiency in creation of infographics.

Reflection

Creating this infographic was not very difficult, and was done during a University tutorial, creating the infographic also gave me a start on the whole topic of online misinformation and how it can affect people and especially how it can affect students and teachers in a school setting. By working on the infographic I also learnt a little bit about presenting information in a more interesting way by adding images and working with colours.

Creation task 2

Creation task 2 was a Kahoot, a type of online quiz also based on misinformation by acting as if the ‘students’ taking the kahoot had just come from watching my Video from Creation task 3. This created a scenario where these students would be tested based on their attention and note taking abilities rather then their prior knowledge on the subject. This task was created to show I have a proficiency in quiz making

Reflection

By working on this kahoot I became used to making and presenting information in a fun way, this kahoot is not very hard but it is able to show if students were paying attention to the video. I also became more well versed in a new type of information presentation through this as I had never created a quiz myself before this, by creating this quiz I am now able to better this aspect of information presentation, thus becoming better as a teacher and able to show exactly what I need to show my students.

Creation task 3

Creation task 3 was a Video I recorded based on Misinformation, the impacts it can have, and how other people can avoid misinformation online, the video is only about 4 minutes long but it does expand upon my understanding of misinformation, and allowed me to work on another form of information. This task was created to show I have proficiency in video making and script writing.

Creation Task 4

Creation task 4 is a sort of classroom expectations poster, I created a poster considering the entire school, by asking students to make sure they are kind, hand in work on time and also making sure they take breaks. This task was created to show a proficiency in poster making.

Reflection

This creation task is not very large, it shows as a typical motivational, school expectation poster and didn’t show me too much on how to better present information, because this task is very similar to creation task 1, the infographic, this poster doesn’t show me anything very new and thus there wasn’t much for me to go off of for a reflection. Overall this creation task was veery helpful, it showed me some flaws in my design process for creation task 1 which I subsequently fixed but other then that I feel like this task was very similar to creation task 1.
