My name is Jack Michael Chambers, I am 18 years of age and I am currently a first year student in the Associates degree of education at La Trobe University. I am pursuing education because I find teaching others very interesting and rewarding, working with my peers through high school and being able to help them through tougher units made me want to teach others. Working through my course so far I’ve realised that teaching is still very fun, I find most of the course work interesting and I enjoy participating in class discussions. My CV to the right shows my skills and qualifications.
As my CV stated I am working through getting a Job but I would like to focus more on my University Course for now and get used to how University functions, by focusing on my school work I guarantee that I wont fall behind and will be able to understand more on what I’m learning.
Misinformation online is a scary topic, however, as stated in my video for creation task 3, misinformation is an issue that can impact students and teachers in many ways, such as creating false knowledge in a student that they perceive as fact, or a teacher can unwillingly spread misinformation to students, we can see that misinformation is a big issue in the online and social media space specifically, because of this the issues grow exponentially and can create problems that wouldn’t have been an issue outside of the online space. However, combatting misinformation is a simple task, by doing your own research and checking the information’s sources you are able to work confidently tell if information is fake or truth.
